Chromium Zirconium Copper (CuCrZr)

Chromium zirconium copper (CuCrZr) is a copper alloy primarily composed of copper, chromium (Cr), and zirconium (Zr). This alloy offers excellent conductivity, thermal conductivity, strength, and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for high-temperature, high-conductivity, and wear-resistant applications.

  • Provides higher strength and hardness than pure copper and other copper alloys, making it suitable for high-load and high-impact environments
  • Retains excellent electrical conductivity due to its high copper content
  • Outstanding high-temperature performance, particularly effective in applications that involve thermal shock
  • The addition of chromium and zirconium enhances the alloy’s oxidation resistance, preventing oxidation at high temperatures
  • Demonstrates strong corrosion resistance, especially in high-temperature and high-humidity conditions
  • Can be processed with conventional machining methods, allowing for the manufacturing of complex-shaped parts without easy cracking during processing
